Practice Pronounciation

• a - apple, ant, alligator  (ㅐㅏ)
• b - bear, bag, ball (ㅂ, 유성음)
  • bear [ behr ]   ~> b vs. v : b는 입을 모았다가 한번에, v는 윗니로 아랫입술 살짝 물고
• c - cup, cat, cake (ㅋ, 무성음)
• d - dog, desk doll (ㄷ, 유성음 ; 턱, 입술의 긴장을 풀고, 위-아랫니 사이에 손가락 하나 틈 존재)
  • desk vs. dusk 
• e - egg, elephant, elbow (ㅔ, 단음)
  • egg [eg] vs. act [akt] vs. at [ at ] : a 발음 시 입을 크게, e 발음 시 입을 작게
• f - feather (바람 많이, 무성음)
• g (ㄱ, 유성음) - girl [ gurl ], guitar
• h (ㅎ, 무성음) - hat
• i

 * Spell first consonants weakly!! 

 

• j (ㅈ, 유성음) - jam (ㅈ애애ㅁ), juice
• k (ㅋ, 무성음) - key

• r - '우' 소리를 미리 내라

Change your mind

1. if you can do 100, say I can do 150, then it will be recognized as 200

 

2. 동양에선 syllable을 '음절'로 보지만, 서양에선 이를 '음합'으로 본다.

 

3. 느리든 빠르든, 음절을 구분하든 단축하든 모든 발음에 대응할 수 있어야 한다.

• Groove : '구덩이', '무덤'의 의미를 가지며, 울퉁불퉁한 이미지를 가진다.
• Enunciate - "Stress 부분을 제대로 또박또박 발음하기"
  • Never enunciate consonants
