• the process of grouping things together into larger meaningful "chunks" to make it easier to remember

1. Louder
2. Longer
3. Higher
4. 명확하게 - clearly, precisely

 

Be careful when pronouncing English

1. Volume   : 소리의 크기
2. Tone       : 소리의 명확성 (= Clarity)
3. Duration : 소리의 길이
4. Pitch      : 소리의 높낮이

Vowels vs. Consonants

1. In English, a stress only exists in vowels
2. split the alphabets and pronounce them independently
3. never append 'ㅡ' or 'ㅣ' sound at the end of the word

 

• "영어에는 현재 진행형이 없다."
• 말의 기능에 따라 발음, 즉 강세 위치가 달라진다는 것에 주의할 것
